Ligeti's Poeme Symphonique is a famous piece of music (or, anti-music?) for 100 ticking metronomes. I reimagined it as a Max patch, with 100 little marbles bouncing back and forth in space. The realization is different every time: for each metronome, you can easily set the windup amount and starting tempo quickly. The 3D camera and zooming effects are controlled by a Mira patch that runs on an iPad.
